• Give thanks for the decision to allow United Nations Peace Keeping troops into East Timor. Pray that the details can be quickly completed to allow the troops to enter, and work peacefully with the Indonesian troops

• Give thanks for the Australian Prime Minister John Howard's commitment for Australia to lead the peace keeping force, and also his commitment for Australia to carry the burden of rebuilding an independent East Timor

• Pray for the East Timorese that have been removed from East Timor to West Timor and other parts of Indonesia, that they will be allowed to return to their homeland
